Kickstarter has long been a launchpad for creative projects, and fashion has become an increasingly important part of that ecosystem. To strengthen its commitment to the sector, the crowdfunding platform has established a dedicated fashion advisory board, bringing together some of the most recognisable names in independent design.

The five-person board is made up of Hillary Taymour of Collina Strada, Raul Lopez of Luar, Brandon Blackwood, Recho Omondi, founder of the fashion podcast The Cutting Room Floor, and stylist and creative consultant Milton Dixon III, who also serves as a fashion ambassador at Kickstarter. Their collective experience spans ready-to-wear, accessories, media and styling, giving the initiative a broad view of what it takes to build a fashion business today.
