Karl Lagerfeld's First Latin American Residences in Mexico

Karl Lagerfeld launches its first Latin American residential tower in Huixquilucan, Mexico, with 73 luxury homes designed in the brand's signature style.

Karl Lagerfeld’s First Residential Project in Latin America

The Karl Lagerfeld brand is making its debut in Latin American real estate with a striking new residential tower in Huixquilucan, Mexico. Developed in partnership with Mexican developer Grupo Bosque Real, this 38-storey complex marks the brand’s first foray into residential architecture in the region.

A New Chapter in the Brand’s Global Portfolio

The project, located just outside Mexico City, adds to Karl Lagerfeld’s growing international residential portfolio, which already includes developments in Lisbon, Marbella, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah. Following the opening of its first café in Amsterdam last July, the brand continues to expand its lifestyle footprint, now translating its distinctive aesthetic into architectural form. With completion scheduled for early 2029, this tower is set to become a landmark in the region.

Inside the Residences

The development will feature 73 residences, including two penthouses and a ground-floor flat. Each apartment, with a surface area of over 475 square metres, will offer three bedrooms and expansive private terraces. The interiors have been crafted in collaboration with The One Atelier studio, under the supervision of Caroline Lebar, creative director of interior design at Karl Lagerfeld. The design seamlessly blends the fashion house’s heritage with Mexico’s natural and cultural environment.

A Design That Bridges Cultures

A key highlight is the main lobby, which houses a monumental brushed stainless steel library standing 9.71 metres high—a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s renowned passion for books. Furniture from the Karl Lagerfeld Maison line furnishes the communal areas, which include a private cinema. The material palette favours locally sourced elements such as basalt, tezontle, and Tzalam wood, contrasting with polished concrete and artisanal terrazzo finishes.

“Our partnership with Grupo Bosque Real gives us the opportunity to translate Karl’s distinctive perspective into a whole new context, with our first residential project in Latin America,” said Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive officer of Karl Lagerfeld.

Amenities and Lifestyle

Residents will enjoy an array of shared facilities designed for comfort and leisure. These include a swimming pool, a panoramic wellness area, a padel court, and various reception areas. The combination of luxury amenities and thoughtful design aims to create a unique living experience that embodies the Karl Lagerfeld lifestyle.

A Milestone in Brand Expansion

The project’s inauguration took place in Mexico City on October 8, signalling a significant milestone for the brand’s real estate ventures. As Karl Lagerfeld continues to diversify beyond fashion—having opened a luxury hotel in Macau in June 2023—this residential tower in Mexico represents a bold step into new territories, promising a living environment that encapsulates the designer’s iconic vision.

With its blend of local influences and Parisian flair, the development is poised to attract those seeking a residence that is both a home and a statement. As the brand’s first residential project in Latin America, it sets the stage for future endeavours in the region and beyond.
