Byan Opens Permanent London Store on King's Road

Spanish fashion brand Byan has opened its first permanent international store on King's Road in Chelsea, London, marking a significant step in its global expansion.

Madrid-based fashion label Byan has officially opened its first permanent international store in London, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion. The new 74-square-metre, two-floor boutique is located at 149 King’s Road in Chelsea, a district renowned for its fashion heritage and creative community. The store will offer Byan’s latest autumn/winter 2026/2027 collections in an immersive and dynamic environment designed to enhance the customer experience and foster connections with the local community through workshops, installations, and exclusive events.

Founded in Madrid around 2018 by entrepreneur Andrea Moragues, Byan was born from a transformative period she spent living in India, which steered her away from interior design and into the world of fashion. The brand took a decisive step in 2024 with the opening of its first permanent physical store at 97 Claudio Coello Street in Madrid’s exclusive Salamanca district, transitioning from a digital-only presence to brick-and-mortar retail. This was followed by a pop-up store at 28 Henrietta Street in Covent Garden, London, which operated for about three months from November 2025. Although initially conceived as a permanent location, the pop-up served as a successful test of the British capital’s retail landscape, paving the way for the new permanent Chelsea store.

“Opening our first permanent store in London is a new and exciting chapter for Byan,” said Andrea Moragues, founder and CEO. “King’s Road is renowned for its fashion heritage and vibrant creative community, which makes it the perfect home for our brand. From this first international store, we want to create experiences that offer our community a deeper connection with everything we represent.”

The London opening comes on the back of a strong financial performance for Byan. In the 2025 fiscal year, the company exceeded €3 million in sales, following consistent double-digit year-over-year growth since its inception. Breaking down these figures, 10% of sales came from wholesale, 30% from the Madrid store, the London pop-up, and concessions in Spain and international multi-brand stores, while the remaining 60% was generated online. Notably, 60% of that online revenue was driven by international markets, with the US, UK, and Italy as the main contributors. Spain now accounts for just 30% of online sales, and Byan aims to replicate this balance by the end of the 2026 financial year, with international sales projected to surpass those in Spain.

This international expansion is spearheaded by the new London flagship, which is now Byan’s primary point-of-sale outside Spain. The brand also operates through its online platform and is present in leading galleries, department stores, and concept stores worldwide, including Liberty (UK), Le Bon Marché (France), El Corte Inglés in Lisbon and FV Concept (Portugal), Italian boutiques Etcetera, La Cooperativa, and Haedo, For Now in the US, and Falabella in Santiago de Chile and Lima.

“Byan has always aimed for internationalisation,” Moragues notes, emphasising a strategy of sustained growth without saturating the domestic market. She highlights the brand’s distinctive character, evident in garments made entirely in Spain in small, local workshops. “We offer timeless, ageless fashion to buyers who see the product as an investment,” she says. “It is made to last, to move away from fast fashion. We are in the brand’s best creative moment, and what is to come will raise our standard even higher.”
